Public files are files that are shareable with other people only if you choose to share them by providing people with a sharing URL.  Public files are not shared with the general public so people can only browse your folders and/or download your files if you give them a sharing URL.

By default, all files uploaded to MediaFire are public.  Once files are uploaded, you can make them private or password protected at any time to provide an extra layer of security for confidential and/or sensitive files.

Public files appear in blue on your My Files page.
