Password protecting files provides an extra layer of security for confidential and/or sensitive files that you want to share with other people. If you password protect a file and share it with someone, that person will be required to enter the password you set in order to download it.

To password protect a file, hover over the name of the file on your My Files page, click "Edit File Info", and then click "Password protect this file". To remove the password, hover over the name of the file on your My Files page and click "remove password".

Password protected files appear in orange on your My Files page.

Please note that images can not be password protected at this time.
