Public folders are folders that are shareable with other people only if you choose to share them by providing people with a sharing URL. Public folders are not shared with the general public so people can only browse files in your public folders if you give them a sharing URL.

By default, all folders you create are public. You can make them private at any time to provide an extra layer of security for confidential and/or sensitive files.

Public folders appear in blue on your My Files page.
